Plundering Hell: the Equipping Gifts of Ephesians 4

The equipping gifts of Ephesians 4 have been interpreted with the emphasis on offices or job titles, to the detriment of their real focus which is the equipping of the saints for ministry. We should ask if we have the equipment, and if we can equip others. We should seek to discern what maturity and immaturity looks like, and how to attain “the whole measure of the unless of Christ.” Only when we know what the gifts are, can we know who has the gifts.
