Christen Forster will speak on "The Prophet of Pentecost"
Jesus called John the Baptist the ultimate prophet, and the Gospels tell us how he prepared the way for Jesus without exactly telling us how. But that's not because they are downplaying John's significance but because they took it for granted that their original audience knew his message and its relationship to Jesus. But today the details of John's ministry seem vague.
We'll look at what can be pieced together from the Bible, written and human history and the legacy of John's followers over 2000 years.
