We'll meet here every morning before exploring other areas of London and its galleries with the participants in the afternoon.

Schedule

Tuesday 27th August

14.30 - 17.30 - Painting the Soho cafe shutter - it needs it’s annual face lift and we work together as a group to prepare it and paint the new design
or
14.30 -17.00 - West end private gallery tour incorporating some of the more exclusive private galleries local to the Soho.
18.30-20.00 - Gustav Klimt - our usual Art Appreciation format where we look at the life and works of this great artist and discuss our thoughts in an informal and friendly atmosphere.

Wednesday 28th August

14.30 - 17.30 - Painting the Soho cafe shutter - it needs it’s annual face lift and we work together as a group to prepare it and paint the new design
or
14.30-17.00 - We visit the international art dealer Sothebys and then move onto the National Gallery looking at the works we’ve studied in the last year.

Thursday 29th August

11.00 - 12.30 - A visit to Whitechapel gallery in the historic East End of London (meet outside Aldgate East tube at 11.00 am).
Picnic in Altab Ali Park
14.00 - 17.00 - Street art tour of Shoreditch and Brick Lane -
17.30 - Eat curry together

Friday 30th August

14.00 - 15.30 - Portrait drawing class - paper and pencils provided.
and/or
14.30 - 17.30 - Painting the Soho cafe shutter - it needs it’s annual face lift and we work together as a group to prepare it and paint the new design

Saturday 31st August

10.30 - 12.30 - Watercolour Landscape painting class - (materials will not be provided - more information about what is needed will be provided later).
12.20 - 15.30 - Picnic in hyde Park and then onto the Serpentine Gallery to see the work of Yinka Shonibare
